What does each learning style mean?
The modality type with the highest score indicates your preferred learning style. The higher the score, the stronger the preference. If you get relatively high scores in two sections, then you probably have more than one strength. If your scores in each type are roughly the same, then you are probably a multi-sensory learner in which you do not have a preferred learning type.

PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE: Learns by seeing or watching demonstrations.
READING: Likes description; sometimes stops reading to stare into space and imagine the scene; intense concentration.
MEMORY: Remembers faces, but forgets names; writes things down; takes notes.
IMAGERY: Vivid imagination; thinks in pictures; visualizes in detail.
DISTRACTABILITY: Unaware of sounds; distracted by movement.
PROBLEM SOLVING: Plans in advance; organizes thoughts by writing them; lists problems.
RESPONSE TO PERIODS OF INACTIVITY: Stares or doodles; finds something.
RESPONSE TO NEW SITUATIONS: Looks around or examines structure.
PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE: Learns through verbal instructions from self or others.
READING: Enjoys dialogue and plays; avoids lengthy descriptions; unaware of illustrations; moves lips or sub-vocalizes.
MEMORY: Remembers names, but forgets faces; remembers by auditory repetition.
IMAGERY: Sub-vocalizes; imagines things in sounds; details are less important.
DISTRACTABILITY: Easily distracted by sounds.
PROBLEM SOLVING: Talks problems out; tries solutions verbally or subvocally; talks self through problems.
RESPONSE TO PERIODS OF INACTIVITY: Hums, talks to self, or talks to others.
RESPONSE TO NEW SITUATIONS: Talks about situation; discusses pros and cons of what to do.
PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE: Learns by doing and direct involvement.
READING: Prefers stories where action occurs early; fidgets while reading; not an avid reader.
MEMORY: Remembers best what was done, but not what was seen or talked about.
IMAGERY: Imagery is not important; images that do occur are accompanied by movement.
DISTRACTABILITY: Not attentive to visual or auditory presentation and may seem distracted.
PROBLEM SOLVING: Attacks problem physically; impulsive; often selects solution involving greatest activity.
RESPONSE TO PERIODS OF INACTIVITY: Fidgets or finds reasons to move.
RESPONSE TO NEW SITUATIONS: Tries things out; touches, feels, or manipulates.
